Mayor’s comment on the victory of Archery and Mountaineering competitions at the National Athletic Meet Iwate

I would like to congratulate Archery Adult Women players and the Mountaineering Junior (boys and girls) members from our city Sasebo, on their winning championships at the 71th National Athletic Meet “Kibokyo（land of hope）Iwate”.

　In Archery Adult Women’s Group competition, Ms. Saori Nagamine, Ms. Ren Hayakawa and Ms. Chinatsu Hisahara won their second championship. Ms. Nagamine herself won a championship in Individual Competition, too.

　Ms. Serika Okawachi and Ms. Akane Kinoshita, students at Sasebo Tosho High School won a championship for the first time as players from Nagasaki in Mountaineering Competitions (Female Junior-Lead).

　I think that this exploit is the pride of not only the sports community in Sasebo but also the whole residents in the city, and it contributed to promote “Sasebo” across the nation.

　Once again, on behalf of the whole residents in Sasebo, I would like to congratulate the players, the team managers, the coaches and the school officials, and would like to extend best wishes for the further success of the members.
