Mayor’s comment on winning an Emperor’s Cup at the Festival of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery

I would like to congratulate the members of citrus group in Sasebo district, JA(Japan Agricultural Cooperatives) Nagasaki-Saikai on their winning an Emperor’s Cup at the Festival.

　It is the first award as a fruit production area in Nagasaki Prefecture and I think this award is a seal that Sasebo was recognized as one of the leading fruit production areas.
It is fully thanks to the complete implement of production and sales strategy grown by successive group leaders as well as the continuous efforts accumulated over years by group members.

　And I believe that this exploit is the pride of the whole residents in Sasebo and it contributed to promote “Mandarin Oranges” produced by “citrus group in Sasebo district” across the nation.

　Once again I would like to express my sincere congratulation to the members, their families and the parties concerned on behalf of Sasebo citizens, wishing them more success and prosperity.
