Mayor’s comment regarding the Appointment of Minister of State for Regional Revitalization and Minister of Regulatory Reform to Mr. Kitamura Seigo, member of the House of Representatives.

It is with very great pleasure that we learned today that due to the recent cabinet re-organization, LDP Mr. Kitamura Seigo, member of the House of Representatives for this prefecture has been appointed Minister of State for Regional Revitalization and Minister of State for Regulatory Reform, and I would like to offer him our sincere congratulations and best wishes for the future.

While our aging society has developed, our city has progressed Regional Revitalization serving as the capital of the Core Regional Urban Area for the western Kyusyu area.

As Diet member Kitamura, most familiar with the real state of the Regions, has been assigned to be Minister of State for Regional Revitalization, I am confident that Regional Revitalization will develop further.

I wish Mr. Kitamura Seigo great success as Minister of State for Regional Revitalization, and Minister of State for Regulatory Reform, and I also look forward to his continued support and cooperation in the development of Sasebo-City politics going forward.
