Mayor’s comment about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The infection is confirmed by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at various areas of Japan at present as everybody understands by report. Since I have understood that it isn't strange whenever an infected patient also comes out in this city, I have now directed to the related departments to take the measures with awareness of danger.

Although all the citizens are feeling the inconvenience very much about this measure by a closure of elementary and junior high schools and so on, I would like to ask you to have the mind to say "My health is maintained by myself." first.

All citizens are kindly requested to use the usual infection prevention measures of cough etiquette and hand washing and also to minimize to participate in the events/meetings and going out.

Buying of toilet paper caused by a groundless rumor has happened, so please behave calmly without being confused by unreliable information.

We will make an effort toward information collection from a country and a prefecture and cooperation reinforcement and response like the whole agency with maximum awareness of danger for everybody's safety and relief securement of a citizen while also gazing at a change in a situation in future. Your kind understanding and cooperation shall be much grateful.
